IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Paper submission deadline extension

The AP-S/URSI 2023 Steering and Organizing Committee has extended the paper submission deadline as follows:

The extended and final paper submission deadline is Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 23h 59m at International Date Line West, UTC-12 hours, which is equivalent to 6:59 AM February 8, 2023 Eastern US Time. The paper submission system will be closed at exactly this time.

The deadline extension does not apply to student paper competition papers. SPC paper submission is closed.

Authors of already submitted papers who wish or need to revise their paper (SPC papers excluded) are allowed and welcome to do so before the extended deadline above -- please do not create a new submission, but instead revise your existing submission here.

Papers that are not presented at the conference (i.e. no-show papers) will be excluded from IEEE Xplore (they will be removed from the proceedings before the proceedings are submitted to IEEE Xplore).

You are cordially invited to the 2023 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting – AP-S/URSI 2023, from July 23–28, 2023, at the Oregon Convention Center and Hyatt Regency, in Portland, Oregon, USA, the City of Roses. This conference is cosponsored by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) and the US National Committee (USNC) for the International Union of Radio Science (URSI). It is intended to provide an international forum for the exchange of information on state-of-the-art research on antennas, propagation, electromagnetic engineering, and radio science.

The symposium will include three plenary talks (including one by Prof. Monisha Ghosh), a Master Class by Prof. Yahya Rahmat-Samii, a wide range of technical sessions and special sessions, a student paper competition, a student design competition, short courses and workshops>, exhibits, professional meetings, and networking events. All events will be held in person (there will not be any virtual talks), however there will be an option to join some business meetings remotely.

The conference will be held at the Oregon Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency Portland Hotel, both of which are located across a quiet street from one another. These sites are located in downtown Portland, which is nine miles from the Portland International Airport. The MAX mass transit public light rail system stops 446 times a day at the Convention Center. For just $2.50 USD, attendees may ride the light rail from the airport to the Convention Center. Before or after the conference, attendees may want to consider visiting nearby points of interest, such as the Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls (35 minutes away from the Convention Center), Washington Park (12 minutes away and includes the Hoyt Arboretum, Portland Japanese Garden, and Oregon Zoo), Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (6 minutes away), Powell’s City of Books (5 minutes away), Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument (1 hour 15 minutes away), Cannon Beach (1.5 hours away), various wineries (5 minutes – 1 hour away), etc. Note that Oregon does not have any sales tax.
